FAQ

Can I watch YouTube videos and learn these topics?

YouTube is an excellent resource for learning new techniques, keeping up with evolving technology, and sharing your own material. The benefits of in-person instruction however, provide the opportunity to touch the gear, turn the knobs, get immediate direct feedback on questions, and create a personalized discussion tailored to your development and goals.
Do you teach GarageBand ?

While I don't teach specific DAW software programs, the techniques covered can be applied to any platform. I primarily use Pro Tools, and the recording, mixing and mastering concepts will translate to GarageBand, Logic, Ableton, PreSonus, Reaper, Cubase etc.

Is this a formal accredited program?

No - This is intended to introduce the basics of recording and music production through hands-on demonstration and conversation. There are a number of programs in the US that offer 2 and 4 year programs in the field. Lessons offer a low-cost, low-commitment way of exploring your interest before committing to a formal higher education setting.

Do you work with children?

The recording process combines electronics, physics, art and science, so please consider if your child is ready for the challenge. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.

Can you teach groups?

Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss small groups.
